Cadmium
is a silver white metal. It is electrically conductive and solderable.
It is naturally slippery and is mold and fungus resistant. Chromates available
include clear, yellow, olive drab. Cadmium use has declined in recent years
because it is considered a toxic metal. It is specifically listed in the RoHS
standards.
